  • Grow your business!

The Fusion

The lines between life, work and play have blurred and converged. Your customers used to compartmentalize their lives; now the time spent at work, home and leisure overlaps and “fuses.” Fusionists understand how the components of people’s lives have transformed and how they are blended today. These changes in daily life create the need for new products and services when people are working, traveling or relaxing at home or on vacation.

> Home

For many, home is a collection of places: primary residence, second home, time-share, RV, boat or hotel room. Home used to be inhabited by parents and children. Now it may be the residence of empty nesters, live-in partners, inter-generational families, extended families, blended families, or sames sex couples. Don’t forget pets—important family members too!

> Work

The profile and priorities of today’s workforce have drastically changed. Workplaces are now inhabited by people in their 20s and in their 60s, each with their new perspectives on how work is accomplished and communication takes place. Millions of home-based businesses start up each year. Retirement is being redefined as one continuous working vacation. Thanks to technology, work can be accomplished from virtually anywere, anytime. With 80% of women in the workforce, more couples share the responsibilities of home life.

> Play

Leisure is now driven by the desire to disconnect, and defined by time, life’s new currency. Rejuvenation is an hour long massage. Relaxation is a meal in a restaurant instead of takeout at home. Vacation is a day of pleasure tagged onto a business trip, or an adventure travel trip spent white water rafting or hiking in the mountains.
